Tidak habis-habis negara penduduk Islam dilanda dengan pelbagai kerenah. Isu baru di Turki pula. Amaran dari ketua tentera di negara mereka sendiri bahawa , “ we will openly enter politics if the ruling party attempts to alter the country's long-standing commitment to secularism” seperti dilaporkan Al Jazeera pada 28 April 2007. Hanya kerana Perdana Menteri Recep Tayyip Erdogan dan Menteri Luarnya Abdullah Gul tidak "sehaluan" dengan mereka dari segi pegangan dan kepercayaan ?


Mustafa Kemal Ataturk telah meninggalkan satu warisan kebudayaan yang sangat 'hebat' di Turki sehingga mengatasi segala-galanya termasuk agama.
